Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds; May the salvation and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, as well as his family and his Companions. When my dear brother Ibrâhîm asked me to read his new book and to write a few lines to preface it, I did not expect it to be this magnificent book which has accompanied me a lot in my years in as a student: Miftäh Dûr As-Sa-âdah, by the eminent scholar Ibn Al-Qayyim. While I had little knowledge of Arabic at the time, I found pleasure in reading it and today, knowing that it is translated into French gives me enormous pleasure. When we hear Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah, we hear Shaykh Al-Islâm Ibn Taymiyyah.
